We are delighted to announce that our feature film ‘Formentera Lady‘ has been selected in the 21 Malaga Film Festival that will be held from the 13th to 22th April.
‘Formentera Lady’ is directed and written by Pau Durà and is starred by José Sacristán, Sandro Ballesteros, Jordi Sánchez and Nora Navas. David Ciurana and Ramiro Acero are producing for Fosca Films and Sunrise Picture respectively, in coproduction with Good Machine Films and La Perifèrica Produccions. The film has the participation of TV3, ICEC, IVAC, Àpunt Media, IB3, Consell Insular de Formentera and Agencia de Turisme de Balears, .
The feature film ‘Formentera Lady’ tells the story of Samuel, a hippy who arrived in hippie Formentera in the 70s and he’s still there. He lives in a house near the sea without electricity and plays the banjo in a bar. One day he receives a visit from his daughter Anna and his grandson Marc. Anna has been unemployed for a long time, she accepted a new job in France and she is forced to leave her son on the island. After his first refusal, his daugther begs him for help once in her lifetime. The weak and eccentric hippie decides to take care of his grandchild. This relationship that return to a past with some shadows. A twilight journey that will be hopeful and initiatory too.
